1
Point of contact, start to finish
I'm Hudson Latimer, an NSCC IT Programming graduate. Big agencies are built to survive turnover — account managers, handoffs, a designer you never meet. Here the designer answers the phone.
SEO is part of every build rather than an add-on sold afterwards, and pricing is fixed from $2,500 with packages spelled out on the pricing page. I take on a small number of projects at a time so each one gets the strategy conversation, the third round of typography, and the performance pass nobody bills for.
The work leans toward clarity over spectacle: sites that load fast, read well on a phone in a parking lot, and still feel like they were made by someone who cared.
05 — Process
How it goes
Conversation
A call, no deck. What the business does, who it's for, and what the current site is failing to do. You get a fixed quote after.
Shape
Sitemap, content plan, and a first design direction on the real pages — not a mood board you have to imagine your way through.
Build
Designed and built in the browser with a staging link you can check any time. Two rounds of revisions baked in.
Launch & Support
Go live, plus a walkthrough recording so you can edit your own content. 30 days of post-launch support included — after that, maintenance plans keep things running.
06 — Questions
The things people
actually ask
How much does a website cost?
Three fixed packages: Starter at $2,500 (up to 5 pages), Standard at $4,500 (up to 12 pages with service area pages), and Full from $8,000 for copy-heavy or multi-location builds. Every quote is written before work starts — 50% deposit, 50% before launch. Rush timelines under two weeks add 50%.
How long does a website take to build?
One to two weeks is typical from kickoff to launch, assuming content is ready. Smaller single-page builds can go faster. You get a staging link from early on, so you can watch it come together instead of waiting for a big reveal.
Do you work with businesses outside Nova Scotia?
Yes. I'm based in Nova Scotia and work with contractors and local service businesses across Canada and the US. Everything runs over calls, email, and a shared staging link — location isn't a constraint. US clients are quoted in USD at US rates.
Is SEO included, or is it extra?
Included in every build: title tags, meta descriptions, structured data, sitemaps, page speed, and clean heading structure. Ongoing local search and Google Business Profile management runs on the Growth ($400/mo) or Partner ($800/mo) maintenance plans.
What is Google Business Profile optimization?
It's the work that makes your business show up in Google Maps and the local pack when someone nearby searches for what you do. Claiming and verifying the profile, getting categories and service areas right, filling out services and hours, adding real photos, and building a steady flow of reviews. For one clinic this took Google reviews from 26 to 42 in a single week.
Can you fix a site someone else built?
Often, yes. A lot of my work is rescue jobs — sites blocked from Google by a stray noindex tag, broken mobile navigation, pages that take eight seconds to load. I'll audit what you have and tell you honestly whether it's worth fixing or rebuilding.
Will I be able to update the site myself?
Yes. You get a walkthrough recording covering the edits you'll actually make — text, images, hours, new pages. If you'd rather not touch it, Care ($150/mo), Growth ($400/mo), or Partner ($800/mo) maintenance plans are available.
Who actually does the work?
I do. Huddy Digital is one person — Hudson Latimer, an NSCC IT Programming graduate. There are no account managers, no handoffs, and no outsourced development. The person you talk to on the first call is the person building the site.
