The things people usually ask before we start.
How much does it cost, and what affects the price?
Starting prices in Canadian dollars: a website audit from $50, a cleanup from $500, a full rebuild from $1,500, local SEO and Google Business Profile setup from $400, and an AI tool from $300. The final price depends on the size of your site, how much needs fixing or building, how many pages and features you need, and how much content you can supply. I quote every job up front, so you know the number before anything starts. See the
pricing section for what is and is not included.
Do I really only pay if I like it?
For a full website rebuild, yes. I build a working draft first and you only pay if you want to keep it and launch. Audits, SEO work, and AI tools are scoped and quoted up front so you always know the number before anything starts.
What happens if I do not like the draft?
You owe nothing. For a rebuild I build a working draft first. If it is not right, or you decide not to go ahead, you walk away without paying.
How do revisions work, and how many are included?
Revisions happen at the draft stage. You review the real site and we adjust it until it feels right, before you decide. After launch, one round of changes is included. Larger changes after that are quoted separately.
Who owns the site, domain, and content after launch?
You own your content and the finished site. Your domain should be registered in your name, and that is how I set it up. If you ever want to move to another developer or host, I hand over what you need.
What about hosting and ongoing maintenance?
Hosting and your domain are separate from the build price. I set them up correctly and tell you what they cost before launch. Many small business sites are inexpensive to host and need little upkeep. Ongoing maintenance is optional and quoted separately if you want it.
How long does a project take?
Local SEO fixes can show results within days. A full website rebuild usually takes a couple of weeks from the first draft to launch, depending on how fast we trade feedback. Smaller fixes and audits are often turned around in a few days.
Will I lose my Google ranking or my email if you move my site?
No. I redirect every old page address to its new one so existing search rankings carry over, and I leave your business email untouched during the domain changes. This is a normal part of every rebuild, not an add-on.
Can my team update the site ourselves afterward?
Yes, when you want that. I can build an admin panel so you can edit text, photos, team profiles, services, and FAQs without touching code or paying a developer every time something changes.
Do you only work with businesses in Halifax?
No. I am based in Halifax, Nova Scotia and work with businesses across HRM, including Dartmouth, Bedford and Sackville, and remotely with small businesses across Canada. Everything can be handled over email, phone, and video.
What do you need from me to start?
Just a short message about your business and what is not working. If you already have a website, a link to it helps. From there I can tell you, plainly, what is costing you customers and what I would do about it.
